“One element that is very crucial to bring peace in the Levant is to have trust . Trust can't be achieved without countries and societies that are at conflict with each other to understand their differences as well as social and political structure historically and currently. This is why a platform like Tukhm institute is very important in these troubling times in the Levant.”

Shadi Martini is an Affiliate Fellow at the Tukhum Institute for Syria–Israel Affairs. He is a Syrian-American businessman, political activist, and advocate for interfaith cooperation.

Mr. Martini currently serves as the CEO of the Multifaith Alliance, a global coalition that fosters interfaith collaboration for humanitarian relief and development. Through this organization, he has played a key role in initiatives such as the Good Neighbor Project, which facilitated humanitarian assistance through the border of Israeli to southern syrıa groups to vulnerable Syrians across the border.

During the Arab Spring of 2011, he helped coordinate medical aid for wounded protesters in Syria, an act that shaped his long-term commitment to human rights and social justice. He later became a Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, deepening his engagement with interfaith and cross-border dialogue.

Mr. Martini has facilitated numerous initiatives of people-to-people diplomacy, bringing together actors across borders and interfaith leaders.

He is widely recognized for calling on Syrians and Israelis to rethink their relations from a principled, justice-oriented perspective, moving beyond zero-sum approaches. His most recent engagement was a speech at the Israeli Knesset on July 9, 2025, where he called for peace rooted in justice and compromise, urging an end to wars and human suffering on both sides.
